« I suddenly realized that my body was like a child to be protected, to cherish. Before, I tended to pull the rope, to seek to get from him all the pleasures possible, but never to be in rest, respect for what he brings me on a daily basis. In this station, I realized that the handicap and the wounds he had left me were like being placed on a tray that I would wear. The image of my body was on a tray, and I was just wearing it. Finally, when someone laughs at what's on the set, that's not my problem. My problem, my task, my work, is to wear the stage with kindness. That we laugh at the sight of what's on it, that's not the point. So, at the same time, I realized that I could feed an unconditional look on the body and my being, and that what I "present in the window", what is visible, what is obvious is not necessarily all me. p.28 »
