« This phenomenon (the colors produced by partial reflection of white light on two surfaces) is called iridescent and is found quite frequently. Perhaps you've ever wondered where the plumage of flybirds and peacocks is so colourful? You now have the explanation. It is also interesting to know that these beautiful colors are the culmination of the evolutionary process. « If someone says to you: "Science teaches us that... " it does not use the word science properly. Science doesn't teach us anything: it's experience that teaches us something. If you are told: "Science shows that... " answer: "How does science show it? How did the scientists find this? How? Where? what? "We must not say: "Science shows that...
